Join the PTSA
There are two ways to join the PTSA:
Dear Chantilly High School Community,
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! As always, the PTSA is here to support our Chantilly school community. There will be many opportunities for us to work together, keeping with annual traditions and creating new ones.
Please consider joining the PTSA
Chantilly HS PTSA provides staff, students, parents, guardians, and community members with an opportunity to connect to valuable resources and develop relationships with other people who share your interests and concerns. In addition, we get monthly updates from Dr. Poole and a chance to speak with him directly.
Chantilly High School PTSA also provides support for:
- Weekend Grab Bags for Students in Need
- Speakers on Current Topics of Interest
- Scholarships and Grants to Staff and Student Members
- SAT/ACT Prep
- Staff Appreciation
- Advocacy
- And much more
Along with your membership, we need your input. Please review the proposed budget, and attend one or more of the general meetings (September 15, November 17, February 16, April 27, and May 18). Executive board meetings take place on the second or third Thursday of the month at 6:30pm except for December. All meetings are open to everyone. See the complete list of dates on the PTSA home page (www.chantillyhsptsa.org). We meet in Room 123 at the school.
Chantilly High School is truly fortunate in having a diverse community of families, and we would like to see this represented in our PTSA membership. Please join and let us know your thoughts on how we can better support CHS. We’d love to hear from you!
We are looking forward to seeing you on Thursday, September 15, 2022 for our first general membership meeting.
Sincerely Yours,
Jayne Dodson, President & Julie Chang, Membership Chair

Hesitant? Here are some fun facts:
Myth: Joining PTSA requires you to volunteer.
Fact: Members are welcome to volunteer, but it is not required. Your support as a member is enough!
Myth: I do not need to join PTSA now that my child is in high school.
Fact: Students who attend a high school with a PTSA are more likely to graduate. And the more members in the PTSA, the higher the overall graduation rates!
All Night Grad Party
The All Night Grad Party has been a Chantilly tradition since it was started by the PTSA in 1987 in an effort to ensure that students have a safe place to celebrate graduation night. For over 30 years, the CHS PTSA has been committed to promoting a safe, supervised, memory-filled event in alcohol and drug-free environment. Even if you do not have a graduate, consider volunteering to help prepare for the event or to help that night. Your presence at the All Night Grad Party communicates something very important to our students: they are in a school community that cares about them.
